Our products are used by many international food and consumer goods manufacturers. Together with our customers in various industrial sectors, we develop innovative, economically viable and always recyclable product solutions. Our fibre-based laminates for food packaging and industrial applications have a high recycling content and achieve the required technical function without or, if technically required, extremely low percentage of polymers:

• Circular economy: In general, recyclability is a precondition for the development of our products
• Extensive replacement of PE and PET by fibre-based laminates
• Minimising the use of plastics to ensure necessary technical functions, use of ultra-thin mono films in combination with water-based dispersions
• Consistent use of recycled paper and cardboard in the core of the products or on the non-food side

The JadeProtec® product range is well established in the packaging market. It comprises a flexible product family of fiber-based materials, films and coating fluids for a wide range of industrial purposes from packaging or surface protection to anti-skid papers. In roll converting, we achieve maximum productivity with basis weights of up to 850 g/m2 and the ability to both laminate and coat. However, we also develop coatings according to customer requirements and in close cooperation and deliver reliably on call or according to annual contracts. We reliably source our raw materials from our sister company, Papier- und Kartonfabrik Varel (see below).

Our team in logistics ensures that goods are packed and loaded according to customer specifications. In an area of almost 4,000 m2, we store our raw materials, keep semi-finished standard products ready for individual cuts and, of course, call-offs for customer contracts. Regardless of whether we organize the shipment or whether it is delivered ex works – our shippers ensure that your goods are packed in accordance with quality requirements and arrive safely at your premises.

For the production of our innovative and sustainable paper and board products, especially for the food industry, we have had our company certified according to FSSC 22000 (Food Safety System Certification).
With this certification, we are demonstrating our commitment to a high level of due diligence in the production of packaging for the food industry.

By introducing and maintaining this food safety system, we are setting a binding standard for our processes. We undertake to comply with the applicable food safety requirements and to meet the agreed product quality and product safety.

With the regular monitoring and evaluation of the management system, we guarantee our customers and business partners that the standard requirements are met throughout the entire process chain.

FSSC certificate

Jade-Pack GmbH obtains a large part of its fiber-based raw materials from the Varel paper and board mill (PKV). Our location has been chosen in such a way that the raw material supply can be ensured by a short route and thus also in an environmentally friendly way.

PKV is a medium-sized family business with approximately 540 employees. It produces cartonboard and corrugated board papers for the German and international packaging industry on the basis of recovered paper using the latest environmentally friendly technologies. Cartonboard and corrugated base papers from Varel in Friesland are at the heart of packaging solutions for many well-known products. With an annual production capacity of over 850,000 tons on four modern production lines, the mill is one of the largest production sites in the European paper industry.

The HZI Group of companies contributes to more sustainable packaging solutions with its products. In addition to the production of the raw materials corrugated base paper and solid board, the Group offers innovative raw material refinements through coating and lamination and produces reliable packaging solutions, especially for the food industry, at various locations in Germany.
